Hey fashionistas! I am so glad that you are joining me today! I want us to talk about of the Fashionably Bleak! Fashionably Bleak Moments: Lindsay Lohan has officially lost her mind! Once a young woman with a promising future has turned into a has been that no woman wants to work with and after the stunt she pulled last week, she may be losing a lot of fashion friend too. Here is the scoop: According to www.Nydailynews.com the Freaky Friday actress, freaked out and: Allegedly scrounged a pair of scissors at a nightclub and chopped off the bottom half of the $1,700 beaded nude and silver Theia Couture dress that she wore to an amFAR event in New York two weeks ago.” “She said the dress ripped by accident and she got scissors from a bouncer at a club to fix it. She said she didn’t have a choice in the matter. God only knows what really happened,” a source close to the situation told The News. “There was no need to cut the dress,” the source continued. “She supposedly had another short dress with her in the car.” Lohan’s stylist for the AmFAR event said the situation was under control and he had no hard feelings over the ill-fated frock. “She’s glamorous and a nice girl and knows what looks good on her,” stylist Phillip Bloch told The News. “I would definitely work with her again. I would just lay down some ground rules and do my best to make sure it never happens again.” Theia Couture said the dress was loaned “in good faith.” “We were informed by Mr. Bloch’s assistant that the dress was damaged during the course of the evening,” a company spokeswoman said in an email to The News. “Further action has yet to be determined.” Here is my opinion: If she owned the dressed then who am I to judge, besides I would never do such a thing to a $1,700 dress. If I wanted it to be altered, then it is my right to do so but I would have the good sense to have it tailored to perfection. It was in poor taste to borrow a dress from a stylist who borrows it from a designer, and then completely butcher it. It would have been better to change into something that was more befitting then to cut the dress. However, if the stylist and the designer are ok with it then who am I to bicker *arm shrug*. Here is the dress AFTER... Let’s continue to chat it up on Facebook.com/YHCFans and be sure to visit my blog for more about fashion, beauty and the power of being a girl.
