I grew up watching my mother drinking cups of milk daily. She'd fill up her favorite glass with milk and leave it in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Sometimes she'd let it freeze, or even dip her galleticas Marias into her COLD glass of Milk. I'd think it was weird.. Through my life I've drank my milk mostly with breakfast cereal & dip my favorite cookies or brownies. I also love adding it on foods that are best to cook with, like mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, special creamy sauces or soups. My siblings, Robert & Isabella, can go through a gallon of milk in 2 days, like if it were water. They don't really add any flavor to it (Chocolate, Strawberry, Sugar), they just drink it straight up with whatever meal, from their favorite breakfast cereal, a bowl of Spaghettis or favorite Steak! Having milk with my favorite bowl of pasta or entree isn't exactly what my stomach can handle, but to each their own...
This past Monday, September 14th, Celebrity Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli enriched his guests with several recipe demonstrations at Eating House in Miami, FL. He displayed Latino plates with quality protein, as part of his MILK LIFE Somos Fuertes Campaign for Hispanic Heritage Month.
Milk Life Somos Fuertes campaign and Strength Ambassador Giorgio Rapicavoli have come together to encourage families everywhere to add milk to those favorite Latin recipes. The Somos Fuertes program is designed to rally Hispanics across the country to start and finish their day with milk, and its 8 grams of high quality protein.
In honor of the occasion, Giorgio has prepared a series of videos with some of his favorite recipes with milk which can be found on www.FuertesconLeche.com. The recipes include some traditional Latin favorites like Arroz con Leche and Natilla, while also incorporating Pasta Bolognese and Fish Soup, all with a touch of Giorgio’s culinary creativity that his restaurant-goers enjoy so much. Rapicavoli shares his personal story of strength and describes some of his favorite childhood memories in the kitchen including his inspiration, his mom.
Giorgio’s love for cooking earned him a spot on the highly competitive show, Chopped, where he gained the financial support he needed to open his first restaurant. His pop-up restaurant instantly became a Miami favorite making it a permanent fixture in Miami’s culinary scene. He continued to achieve his dreams by expanding his culinary empire. His talent, creativeness and can-do attitude has led him to succeed at such a young age.

Set to debut at the festival, Chef Works (ChefWorks.com) will release their new Q3 pieces by outfitting all participating culinary officials. Drawing on the success of the 2014 Urban Collection, the new Chef Works products join an existing collection of stylish aprons, chef coats, and kitchen/front-of-house shirt offerings. Jarrod Knowles is a talented and brilliant independent filmmaker who has written, directed and produce his own films resulting in sold out tickets for red carpet premiere showings.
In effort to inspire the creation and distribution of art, while ultimately enhancing the creative mind, he's created this experience for people to Get Discovered!
Filmmakers from around the world can submit films to the WideScreen Film & Music Video Festival for a chance to win bragging rights and the ultimate prizes: WideScreen Film and Music Video’s Best Filmmaker Award as well as $500 cash. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s charity foundation Relay For Life.
